Become Involved with the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul!

As the Mother Church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence, the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul is a very special place of worship, as well as a sacred space in the hosting other events such as concerts and special programs. But the Cathedral also performs all of the Catholic services of a typical parish church. If you have any interest in joining our parish family as a member, or assisting the Cathedral Rector, Monsignor Anthony Mancini, by sharing your special gifts and talents in various service activities in support of the mission of the Cathedral, or in the Celebration of the Holy Mass, please contact us.

Regarding Masses at the Cathedral, there are many ways you can assist in bringing the Word of God and the Eucharist to our parishioners each week. These include your participation as Altar Servers, Eucharistic Ministers, and Lectors.

Become Involved with the Cathedral!
  • Altar Servers are lay assistants to the clergy celebrating Mass, and assist in many of the most important areas in the celebration of Mass.

  • Eucharistic Ministers are lay assistants to the clergy celebrating Mass in administering the Sacrament of Holy Communion.

  • Lectors are lay assistants to the clergy celebrating Mass by sharing the First and Second Readings, the Prayers of the Faithful, and at times the Weekly Announcements.
